The Dermatology And Laser Center of San Antonio currently has state-of-the-art lasers and the PhotoDerm® pulsed light system. These systems are used to treat a variety of conditions including facial veins, leg veins, portwine stains; liver ("age") spots and stretch marks. Our super-pulsed CO2 and erbium:yag lasers are used for cosmetic facial skin resurfacing, to treat acne scars and facial wrinkling. Other services include MegaPeel microdermabrasion and BOTOX® injections to smooth facial frown lines.

Steven A. Davis, MD
Dr. Davis is a board certified dermatologist, a native of San Antonio, Texas and received a B.A. from Yale University in 1969. He received his M.D. from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1973 and completed a three-year dermatology residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical School. He was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1977 and served on the academic faculty at UCSF until 1983, when he returned to San Antonio to go into private practice.
He is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Surgery. In addition to practicing general dermatology, Dr. Davis performs skin cancer and other dermatological surgery, including chemical peels and sclerotherapy for leg spider veins. He has been performing cutaneous laser surgery since 1992 and teaches laser surgery courses for both HGM, Inc., manufacturer of the HGM Krypton Vascular and Pigmented Lesion Laser and Renaissance erbium:yag lasers; Luxar Corporation, maker of the NovaPulse CO2 Laser for facial skin resurfacing; and ESC Medical Systems, maker of the PhotoDerm VL/PL/HR intense pulsed light system.

Michael Hoffman, MD
Dr. Hoffman is a board-certified anesthesiologist with NorthEast Anesthesia Associates. He and his board-certified associates administer monitored intravenous sedation ("conscious sedation") in the Dermatology And Laser Center to selected patients.
Dr. Hoffman is a graduate of the University of Houston and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (M.D., 1973). He is also a board-certified pediatrician who practiced pediatrics in San Antonio for 14 years before completing an anesthesia residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1992. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Anesthesiologists.
